Winter Storm Across Southern South Dakota

A strong storm system is forecast to impact southern South Dakota today through Monday afternoon. The main hazard will be snowfall accumulations of 4-6 or more inches, and reduced visibility when falling snow combines with wind gusts to 30 mph by Monday morning. Read More >

Several inches of snow has fallen across parts of western and central South Dakota. Amounts range from merely a trace to upwards of 8 inches where localized heavy snowfall bands developed. The map and listing of snowfall reports shown below are those received by the National Weather Service as of 10 AM on November 22. Please note the date and time of the reports. In many cases the snow was on going at the time of the report and additional accumulations have since occurred.
