Overview

Storms developed along a cold front and tracked from west to east across South Dakota late June 10th through the early morning hours of June 11th. Strong winds were reported across across northern South Dakota from Corson County through Hamlin County. The most intense winds caused structural damage with many machine sheds, barns and other outbuildings being the victims. Rainfall was spotty in areas, and did little to help the continuously worsening drought conditions.
