A TORNADO WAS CONFIRMED IN DEUEL COUNTY BASED UPON EVIDENCE PRESENTED BY

TRAINED SPOTTERS...DEUEL COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AND VIDEO FOOTAGE

PROVIDED BY LAKE COCHRANE RESIDENTS. THE TORNADO TOUCHED DOWN ON THE

NORTHERN SHORE OF LAKE COCHRANE...AND TRAVELLED APPROXIMATELY 0.8 MILES

TO THE NORTHEAST BEFORE LIFTING. THE TORNADO CAUSED MINOR DAMAGE OVERALL

AND WAS MAINLY CONCENTRATED IN AN AREA ALONG EDGEWATER DRIVE AT LAKE COCHRANE. THE DAMAGE WAS MAINLY TO DOCKS...BOATS...BOAT LIFTS...CANOPIES AND SHORELINE SHRUBBERY. THERE WAS MINOR TREE DAMAGE. TWO LAKE HOMES SUFFERED DAMAGE. THE MOST SIGNIFICANT BEING A HOME THAT HAD THE WESTERN PORTION OF ITS STEEL ROOF ROLLED BACK AND TOSSED A SMALL DISTANCE INTO THE YARD. DAMAGE OF THIS MAGNITUDE IS CONSISTENT WITH WIND SPEEDS OF 70 TO 75 MPH...OR EF-0 DAMAGE.
