Tonight, another round of thunderstorms is expected across southern Wisconsin and northeast Iowa. With wet soils from Saturday night's rain, the risk of flooding will be higher. There is still some uncertainty where the heaviest rain will fall and the higher risk of flooding. Several inches of rain are possible.   

Continue to check on the latest forecasts and be prepared to adjust any outdoor plans as needed tonight.

Tonight: Periods Of Heavy Rain, Flooding

  • What:  Heavy rain, flooding where storms repeat over the same area. Any storms will have the potential of 1-2" per hour rainfall rates. 
  • Where: Mainly southern Wisconsin and northeast Iowa. (see graphic -->>) 
  • Timing: Tonight
  • Impacts: Localized flooding expected, with rises on some rivers and streams.  
  • ACTION: DO NOT DRIVE through flooded roadways, keep your cell phone on overnight, if camping near a creek or river, monitor water levels and move to higher ground if needed.
