Scattered thunderstorms that developed across southern Minnesota and Iowa formed into a cluster of storms that slowly progressed east-southeast into northeast Iowa and Wisconsin during the afternoon and evening hours of Saturday, June 16.

Large hail (up to ping-pong ball size) fell in western Fillmore County and flash flooding occurred in portions of Mower and Fillmore Counties. Pockets of heavy rainfall were reported with reports of 5.00+ inches in western Vernon County, which prompted mudslides.
