Arctic air will keep the region in the deep freeze through this morning. Wind chills will be bitter to dangerously cold at times, with a wind chill advisory in effect for the entire area.

This Morning: Bitter Cold

  • What: Bitter cold wind chills from 20 to 35 below zero
  • Where: Entire area.
  • Impacts: Frost bite can occur in 10 to 30 minutes without proper clothing. Hypothermia also possible with prolonged exposure.
  • ACTION: Cover exposed skin. Wear several layers of clothing, hat and gloves. Protect pets from the cold, make sure they have fresh water. Limit outdoor exposure if possible. Make sure vehicles are prepped for the cold.
