HAPPENING NOW: A mix of rain and snow continues to fall this afternoon along the Minnesota-Iowa state line into west central and central Wisconsin, near the Interstate 90 corridor.  While many more traveled highways are just wet, remain alert for slippery stretches where snow is still falling.  1-4" of heavy, wet snow has already fallen in some areas and snow is packing onto some highways.

If you are traveling north-south through the region, you might encounter far different driving conditions because of this narrow band.
