The National Weather Service has cancelled all outreach at least
through the end of April. This includes the remaining spotter talks
for Spring 2020.
The National Weather Service in Dodge City provides storm identification/spotter training sessions each spring. These sessions are done in cooperation with county Emergency Management agencies across the area. All training is free and is open for anyone to attend and is not designed for just storm spotters. Anyone with a desire to learn how to identify severe weather and to learn about the dangers from these storms is encouraged to attend. The program lasts around 1 1/2 hours.
The following is a schedule for training through April. All times are in Central time except for Hamilton county which is listed in Mountain time...
