Snow and Ice Continue in the Northeast; Rain and Mountain Snow in the West

Significant winter impacts shift into the Northeast on Sunday. Heavy snow up to 2 feet will be possible across interior Northeastern areas. Southern New England may see ice accumulations up to a quarter of an inch. Strong gusty winds and bitter cold will follow the cold front passage. A tornado developed northwest of Ensign in Gray county and moved east/northeast and dissipated just inside Ford County. The tornado managed to miss structures that could have been damaged. But, scouring of muddy fields was observed to be 8 inches deep in spots.
