Heavy Rainfall and Flash Flood Threats From the Lower Mississippi Valley Into Ohio/Tennessee Valleys; Elevated to Critical Fire Concerns Out West

Heavy to excessive rainfall with flash flood concerns will be possible from the Lower Mississippi Valley into parts of the Ohio/Tennessee Valleys. Elevated to Critical Fire weather threats will persist across the Great Basin and central Rockies. Every February, since weather records began at Duluth in 1875, has recorded a high temperature of at least 28 degrees for the entire month. February 2015 will probably not achieve this feat as the highest temperature so far this month is 27 degrees reported on the 9th.
