Heavy Rainfall, Flooding, And Severe Thunderstorm Threats From The Mid South To The Great Lakes Today And Tonight

A slow moving low pressure system and cold front will bring the potential for severe thunderstorms capable of producing damaging winds and isolated tornadoes from portions of the Mid South to the Midwest and Great Lakes today and tonight. International Falls is tied for the second coldest meteorological spring to date. The average temperature from March 1st through May 15th is 27.3 degrees. This ties with the year 1996 and falls behind the 25.6 degrees in 1950.  At Duluth, the average temperature so far this spring is 30.1 degrees which ties for the 9th coldest to date.
