Heavy snow continues to very low elevations in the mountains of northwestern California and the Sierras, and from the Midwest to portions of the Middle Atlantic. An active storm track across the south will bring continued dry winds in the Southwest and Plains into next week; and the potential for severe weather, heavy rain, and flash flooding across the Deep and Middle South next week.
