Extended Outlook: Shifting Back to Colder than Normal for Late December

Showers and thunderstorms have moved through the region over the past three days. Showers continue today as the upper level low slowly drifts east across far northern MN. Below is a radar estimate of the rainfall over the past 72 hours, ending at 7 AM this morning (June 1st). Notice the area of red near Crookston, MN indicating around 4" of rain. Higher amounts also are depicted in the Grand Forks AFB, Thompson, and Hope areas.
