Blizzard conditions were experienced across parts of the Northern Plains on January 23rd and 24th as winds gusting as high as 56 mph blew through the region. Snow had fallen two days prior to the strong winds, creating conditions ripe for a ground blizzard. Very little snow actually fell on the 23rd and 24th. However, conditions were very dangerous for travelers across the region. For a summary of the January 21-22 event, click here.
