February 18, 2018 Winter Storm

A winter weather system spread 2 to 6 inches of snow across much of the region from November 30th through December 1st.  A strong upper level low slowly propagated eastward, causing periodic heavier snow bands throughout the 2 day period.  Much of the accumulation occurred during the overnight hours of November 30th due to slightly cooler temperatures allowing the snow to accumulate.  Although the heavier snow bands continued into December 1st, the slightly warmer daytime temperatures caused the falling snow to mostly melt once it reached the ground.
