The National Weather Service is testing a new Rivers and Lakes Observation and Forecast Website!

For more than two decades, the National Weather Service (NWS) has delivered river observations and forecast products and services via the Advanced Hydrologic Prediction Service (AHPS). This legacy system needed to be modernized to support newer innovation with technology and provide a more mobile-friendly user experience. Currently scheduled for Spring 2024, the NWS will replace AHPS with a new website, the National Water Prediction Service (NWPS).

In order to ensure NWPS delivers the capabilities that meet customer and public needs, the NWS is hosting a public testing period through December 15th, 2023. The goal of this testing is to collect feedback from our customers to ensure NWPS meets your needs before AHPS is fully retired.

Feedback can be provided via this link.
