An upper ridge and stout cap will keep the region primarily dry today, though low clouds this morning may spit out a few sprinkles. The sun may peek through a few hours late in the day, though it should be primarily mostly cloudy, breezy, warm and humid. After lows in the mid 60s to around 70 degrees, highs will warm into the upper 70s to mid 80s this afternoon. Strong southerly winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts 30 to 35 mph will continue pumping Gulf moisture and setting up the first round of strong to severe storms west of I-35 late tonight. Showers and storms with severe weather possible will continue this coming weekend.
