Above normal precipitation has been noted across much of central into northeast Wisconsin this year. Precipitation totals were running 150 to 200 percent of normal.  As of October 17th, the Green Bay precipitation total stands at 41.96 inches which is a new yearly precipitation record. The old record was 39.21 inches set in 2018. Several other cities have also climbed into the top 20 wettest years on record.

At Appleton, 7 of the top 10 wettest years on record have occurred since 2010. As of October 17th, 2019 ranks as the 2nd wettest year on record.

It was only last year that Green Bay set the wettest year on record and will mark the first time Green Bay established back to back yearly precipitation records since 1887 and 1888 (the first two years of official Green Bay weather records).
