Above normal precipitation has been noted across much of central into northeast Wisconsin this year. Precipitation totals were running 150 to 200 percent of normal.

Green Bay and Appleton have already set new yearly precipitation record. Several other cities have also climbed into the top 20 wettest years on record.

Here is a look at some cities across the area. Precipitation totals through Friday, November 15.

 

Appleton

 

At Appleton, 7 of the top 10 wettest years on record have occurred since 2010. 2019 ranks as the wettest year on record breaking the old record of 43.59 inches set in 2010.

Green Bay

 

At Green Bay, 4 of the top 8 wettest years on record have occurred since 2010. 2019 ranks as the wettest year on record. It was only last year that Green Bay set the wettest year on record and will mark the first time Green Bay established back to back yearly precipitation records since 1887 and 1888 (the first two years of official Green Bay weather records).
