The first round of rain/snow will continue to move northwards tonight and last into Tuesday. Steady snow will then begin Tuesday afternoon into Wednesday. Accumulating snow will be possible leading to hazardous travel conditions. Snow will then continue into Thursday for areas along the lakeshore.
After some light rain and snow tonight, a better chance for accumulating snow will come Tuesday evening through Wednesday night. Areas south of a line from Muskegon to Mt. Pleasant are likely to see the heaviest amounts, where over 4 inches of snow will be possible. The Wednesday morning and Wednesday evening commutes will be most impacted with snow covered and slick roads expected.
