Numerous severe storms with a potential for severe wind gusts, tornadoes (some potentially strong), and very large hail are expected in parts of the central and northern Plains. 🌧️ Recent heavy rainfall has brought significant drought improvement across southeast Louisiana and southern Mississippi! Over the past 30 days, many locations received 10"+ of rain, leading to a dramatic reduction in drought conditions. 🌱💧
The next few days to close out the week will remain drier than it has been over the past few weeks. However, a return to a wet pattern is expected towards the end of this weekend and into next week.
