NWS Louisville Meteorologist-In-Charge John Gordon, Kentucky State Climatologist Dr. Stu Foster, Shelby County EM Paul Whitman and Shelby County Judge Executive Rothenberg as well as other local officials gathered at Case Farm in northern Shelby County (12/12/2016) for the dedication of a new Kentucky Mesonet Station, CROP (highlighted by the blue dot on the map below).  This new mesonet station is the second in Shelby County and joins a network of 67 other weather stations in the Kentucky Mesonet.
