BELOW AVERAGE. IT WAS THE COOLEST AUGUST IN THREE YEARS. THE HOTTEST
READING WAS 94, AND THE COOLEST READING WAS 63. THIS WAS THE 5TH
AUGUST IN A ROW WITH NO 100-DEGREE TEMPERATURES.

RAINFALL WAS ABOVE AVERAGE, AND THIS WAS LARGELY DUE TO THE PASSAGE
OF THE REMNANTS OF HURRICANE LAURA ON THE 27TH-28TH. THIS WAS THE
WETTEST AUGUST IN TWO YEARS. THERE WERE NINE DAYS WITH MEASURABLE
RAINFALL, WHICH WAS THE MOST SINCE 2018.

THE AVERAGE HIGH TEMPERATURE WAS THE COOLEST SINCE 2017. THE
AVERAGE LOW WAS THE COOLEST SINCE 2015. THE AVERAGE MONTHLY

THE PRESSURE FELL TO 29.46 INCHES. THIS SET AN ALL-TIME RECORD FOR
LOWEST PRESSURE IN THE MONTH OF AUGUST AT PINE BLUFF. THE PREVIOUS
LOW PRESSURE RECORD WAS 29.51 INCHES, AND THAT OCCURRED ON AUGUST
29, 2005. AIRPORT OBSERVATIONS IN PINE BLUFF BEGAN IN 1948.
