AT PINE BLUFF, DECEMBER HIGHS WERE SLIGHTLY ABOVE AVERAGE WHILE LOWS
WERE BELOW. OVERALL, THE MONTH FINISHED SLIGHTLY UNDER HALF A DEGREE
ABOVE THE 30-YEAR MEAN FOR DECEMBER. IT WAS THE COLDEST DECEMBER IN
THREE YEARS, EVEN WITH A MONTHLY AVERAGE CONSIDERED "ABOVE NORMAL".

FOR THE EIGHTH MONTH THIS YEAR, RAINFALL WAS ABOVE AVERAGE. FOR THE
FIRST TIME IN TWO YEARS, DECEMBER RAINFALL WAS ABOVE THE 30-YEAR
MEAN OF 5.44 INCHES. THERE WERE 11 DAYS WITH MEASURABLE RAINFALL,
WHICH WAS THE MOST IN DECEMBER IN TWO YEARS.

FOR THE FOURTH DECEMBER IN A ROW, NO MEASURABLE SNOW FELL. HOWEVER,
THERE WERE TRACE AMOUNTS ON DECEMBER 15TH AND 16TH.
