.Summary...
Though August was relatively tolerable, September turned things
around completely. In terms of average high, low, and monthly
temperatures, this was the warmest September in several decades, and
one of the warmest since records began at Pine Bluff. For the 6th
September in a row, there were no triple-digit temperatures.

Rainfall was deficient during the month, though not significantly.
It was considerably drier than last year, and the first September in
two years with below average rainfall.

.Monthly Temperatures...
The average high temperature was the warmest in 80 years (since
1939), and the 7th warmest on record.

The average low temperature was the warmest in 21 years (since
1998), and the 6th warmest on record.

The average monthly temperature was also the warmest in 80 years
(since 1939), and tied 1933 for the 5th warmest on record.

.Daily Temperatures...
Only one day had below average temperatures, with one day right at
average. The remaining 28 days saw above average temperatures. In
terms of departure from normal,  the warmest days were in the last
week of the month, with daily temperatures as warm as 10 to near 15
degrees above normal at times.

There were 24 days with high temperatures at or above 90 degrees,
which was the most in the month since 1939.

There were 13 days with low temperatures cooler than 70 degrees,
which was the fewest since 1998.

Suprisingly, there were no daily high or warmest low temperature
records broken during the month.

It was the driest September since 2017.
