Recent Change in Drought Intensity

4 Week Drought Monitor Class Change. 

Drought Worsened: Cheyenne, Kit Carson, and Yuma counties in Colorado, portions of Cheyenne, Sherman, Thomas, Wallace, Logan, Greeley, Wichita, Decatur, Norton, Sheridan, and Graham counties in Kansas, and portions of Dundy and Hitchcock counties in Nebraska saw drought worsen during November.

The latest monthly and seasonal outlooks can be found on the CPC homepage
December’s outlook calls for near normal temperatures and above normal precipitation. 
There are some signals for cooler weather to help offset the above normal temperatures we have had recently. 
December’s normal highs: 
Low to middle 40s
December’s normal lows: 
Upper teens
December’s normal precipitation: 0.05” for any given day; 0.46” average for the entire month
