Drought conditions have eased thanks to beneficial rain
A small area of abnormally dry conditions lingers over southern MI and central Indiana

Drought intensity and Extent
D0 (Abnormally Dry): Branch and Hillsdale counties in Michigan. Southern White, Cass, and Grant counties in Indiana.

Precipitation
Rainfall was over 100% of normal in many areas, primarily from rain that fell in the early days of April
Numerous rivers reached minor flood stage after this rainfall

Little to no precipitation is anticipated over the next seven days 

Long-Range Outlooks
Released on 3/31, there is a slight learn toward above-normal precipitation for April, primarily because of heavy rain that occurred early in the month

There are no clear signals to swing temperatures above or below normal; thus, equal chances is the outlook 

Drought Outlook
Drought conditions are forecast to be temporary, ending later this Spring.
