Rating: EF-1 Estimated Peak Wind: 100 MPH Path length /Statute/: 10.25 Miles Path width /Maximum/: 250 Yards Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 0 Start date: March 1, 2017 Start time: 700 AM Start location: 2.5 North-Northwest of Franklin, TN Start Lat/Lon: 35.9559, -86.8824 End date: March 1, 2017 End time: 708 AM End location: 5.5 Southeast of Brentwood End_lat/lon: 35.9872, -86.7124 Survey Summary: An EF-1 Tornado spun up just northwest of the city of Franklin and continued east-northeast across Williamson County. Tornadic damage began on Hillsboro Road and crossed Franklin Road hitting just north of the Cool Springs Galleria. The tornado then weakened as it crossed Interstate 65, but continued to cause damage on Concord Road almost to the Davidson County line. The most significant damage was to a home where the chimney collapsed along with several hundred trees snapped or uprooted along the path. It is estimated that over 200 structures received minor damage with several dozen receiving moderate damage mostly in the form of roof damage. .Tornado #2 - Davidson/Rutherford County... It cause sporadic damage mainly to trees as it raced to the northeast. It then hit the Four Corners Marina around 717am CST and caused extensive damage to docks, boats and shelters. .Tornado #3 - Wilson County... Rating: EF-1 Estimated Peak Wind: 110 MPH Path length /Statute/: 5.75 Miles Path width /Maximum/: 300 Yards Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 0 Start date: March 1, 2017 Start time: 738 AM Start location: 3 Miles West Southwest of Watertown Start Lat/Lon: 36.0898, -86.1991 End date: March 1, 2017 End time: 745 AM End location: 2.5 Miles Northeast of Watertown End_lat/lon: 36.1117, -86.0974 Survey Summary: A high end EF-1 tornado touched down just west of Watertown and continued moving east-northeast across the northern fringes of the town. There was significant damage to one home on Commerce Road, however, the structure sustained the most significant damage to the garage which was not appropriately attached to the foundation. In addition, two TVA high transmission power poles that consisted of wood were snapped. Several other homes sustained minor roof and tree damage with one greenhouse completely destroyed. Numerous trees were snapped or uprooted across the damage path. A large swath of 75-80 MPH straight-line winds was observed south of the tornado track along Highway 70. These are believed to be the rear flank downdraft winds from this tornadic storm. .Tornado #4 - Southern Smith County Tornado... Rating: EF-1 Estimated Peak Wind: 110 MPH Path length /Statute/: 3.67 Miles Path width /Maximum/: 100 Yards Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 0 Start date: March 1, 2017 Start time: 751 AM CST Start location: 3.0 miles SW of Hickman, TN Start Lat/Lon: 36.1167 / -85.9809 End date: March 1, 2017 End time: 756 AM CST End location: 1.8 miles SE of Hickman, TN End_lat/lon: 36.1258 / -85.9163 A NWS storm survey confirmed an EF1 tornado touched down in far southern Smith County southwest of the town of Hickman just north of Potter Road. The tornado completely destroyed a 1930s era home being used as a storage building to the west of Kyle Hollow Lane, with contents blown up to 150 yards away. Numerous trees were also snapped and uprooted around the building and a nearby mobile home sustained minor exterior damage. Two homes on Jenkins Hill Road suffered minor damage and a barn was completely destroyed. Another barn was damaged on Temperance Hall Highway and more trees were snapped and uprooted on Nabors Hollow Lane before the tornado lifted southeast of Hickman. Rating: EF-1 Estimated Peak Wind: 90 MPH Path length /Statute/: 8.75 Miles Path width /Maximum/: 150 Yards Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 0 Start date: March 1, 2017 Start time: 802 AM Start location: 1.9 Miles East of Buffalo Valley Start Lat/Lon: 36.1455, -85.7521 End date: March 1, 2017 End time: 813 AM End location: 2.25 Miles Northeast of Baxter End_lat/lon: 36.1770, -85.6011 Survey Summary: An EF-1 tornado touched down in southwest Putnam County near Buffalo Valley and continued east toward Baxter. Damage included dozens of large trees snapped and uprooted and small outbuildings destroyed. A few houses experienced minor roof damage. The tornado's maximum intensity was EF-1 along portions of Indian Creek Road. .Tornado #6 - Eastern Putnam County... The tornado uprooted and snapped large trees in a very localized area. It also caused minor structural damage to a house and destroyed a few outbuildings.
