STATE OF WASHINGTON DROUGHT EMERGENCY CONTINUES FOR PARTS OF WESTERN WASHINGTON (see link) Drought impacts are expected to ease during the rainy season U.S. Drought Monitor Drought intensity and Extent in western Washington D2 (Severe Drought): Central WA Cascades west to the Puget Sound area. D1 (Moderate Drought): the rest of western WA except along the Pacific coast that is abnormally dry. Recent Change in Drought Intensity Four Week Drought Monitor Class Change.
