Unsettled Weather in the East; Elevated Fire Weather Conditions for Southern California

An area of low pressure moving through the Appalachians will bring moderate to heavy rainfall, strong to severe thunderstorms, and snow for much of the eastern U.S. through Tuesday. In the wake of the system, some areas in the South may see temperatures exceed 20 degrees below average. Temperatures today will reach around 80 degrees in the interior/lake region and west coast with highs in the lower 80s across the east coast.
Showers and isolated Thunderstorms are possible with the passage of a strong cold front later today.
Lows tonight should range from the 40s just to the west of the lake, with lows in the 50s elsewhere.
A few showers are possible across the southeast portion of South Florida as the front continues to move through our area.
