Today will be mostly dry across the Inland Northwest. The weather pattern becomes more active Tuesday with rain and snow in the lowlands and light to moderate snow in the mountains. Temperatures will be relatively mild this week into the weekend. Several weather systems will bring more chances for lowland rain and mountain snow over the second half of the week into the weekend.
Light to moderate snow accumulations are expected Tuesday and Tuesday night across north central Washington including the north Cascades and the Valleys of the East Slopes. Slushy accumulations will be possible over the Idaho Panhandle and northeast Washington before snow changes to rain.
Milder temperatures are on the way this week. Many of our lowland communities will likely be in the 40s by the second half of the week.
