Dangerous Heat Lingers in the Southern U.S.; Heavy Rain and Thunderstorms in the Midwest

Heat advisories linger across the Southern Plains and the Lower Mississippi Valley today for hot temperatures and dangerous heat indices. Also, Severe thunderstorms and heavy rain will roll through the Midwest.
