Unsettled Weather in the East; Elevated Fire Weather Conditions for Southern California

An area of low pressure moving through the Appalachians will bring moderate to heavy rainfall, strong to severe thunderstorms, and snow for much of the eastern U.S. through Tuesday. In the wake of the system, some areas in the South may see temperatures exceed 20 degrees below average.
