The Space Weather Prediction Center has issued a Severe Geomagnetic Storm Watch for Wednesday, Nov. 12th, for a G4 geomagnetic storm. The aurora may become visible over the northern half of the country where skies are clear. Note we do not have clear skies in the forecast for western WA/OR. Note GPS and other satellite navigation may temporarily become unavailable, and high frequency (HF) radio propagation may be impossible in many areas.
Mainly dry weather will continue through at least Wed. morning or afternoon, before widespread rain develops Wed. evening. Snow levels fall to around pass level in the Cascades Thu. night/Fri. morning before rising above pass level Fri. night.
