The first in a series of weather systems will bring rain to the Coast by Tuesday afternoon, then to inland areas Tuesday night. Rainfall amounts through Wednesday afternoon will be 1 to 1.5 inches Coast, 1/4 to 3/4 inches Interior Lowlands, and 1 to 2.5 inches for the Mountains. It will be locally windy as well, with the strongest winds along the Coast, North Interior, and North and Central Puget Sound areas Tuesday night through Wednesday afternoon. Southerly winds of 15 to 30 MPH with gusts of 30 to 40 MPH possible. Some downed tree branches and local power outages are possible!
The Seattle/Camano Island radar (KATX) will be down for software upgrades through early this afternoon.
