There is a risk for severe thunderstorms beginning Friday and continuing through the weekend. The severe risk expands to include nearly all of the region on Sunday. Stay tuned to the latest forecast, and review your severe weather safety plan as this potential comes into better focus over the next few days.

After a cool start to the day, afternoon high temperatures will top out in the mid to upper 70s and even a few locations reaching 80 degrees.

Warmer overnight temperatures are expected tonight with lows generally ranging from the mid and upper 50s to lower 60s as clouds will be on the increase, especially after midnight.
