Subject:  Delay of MET information transmission from JMA via AFTN

Notify you of delay of aeronautical meteorological information 
transmission via AFTN by the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA).

We are planning system maintenance that affects transmitting and
receiving of MET information via AFTN tonight.

This will cause delay of transmitting of MET information via AFTN
from 1508 to 1558 UTC on 13 January as follows:

ˇTransmission of Volcanic Ash Advisory (VAA) issued by Tokyo VAAC..
SIGMET for Fukuoka FIR and AMD or COR of TAF for aerodromes in
Japan (if issued) will be delayed up to 50 minutes.
ˇReplying to requests to OPMET Data Bank  (RODB) Tokyo will be
delayed up to 50 minutes.

VAAs issued by Tokyo VAAC are available in real time via website of
Tokyo VAAC (https://ds.data.jma.go.jp/svd/vaac/data/index.html)
even during the system adjustment.
METAR issued at 1500 and 1600 UTC will be transmitted on time.
