Overview

A large upper level disturbance brought widespread snow to areas of Montana for the first few days of October. A strong front, with cool Canadian air, brought heavy snow to the Hi-Line area. Areas near Havre received over a foot of snow, while areas near Rocky Boy received over 2 feet of snow. Power outages were widespread across the Hi-Line area from downed trees due to heavy snowfall. Here are the details of this high impact storm.
