Illinois...Indiana...

  Wabash River at Hutsonville Legacy Power Plant Site down to
  Riverton...and at Mount Carmel.

.Heavy rainfall through the first half of the week of mainly one and
half to two inches had produced minor flooding on portions of the
Wabash River.  Amid a double crest...the river recently receded to
below bankfull...with current late week rainfall of up to one inch
to produce further minor flooding starting Saturday night at
Hutsonville...Riverton...and Mount Carmel.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

  rural roads in Crawford County, Illinois close as water backs up
  Minnow Slough.  High water affects campground at Leaverton Park in
  Palestine.  A few private roads near the Gill Township levee in
  Sullivan County may flood.  Water level is at the top of most
  makeshift levees.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 12:00 AM EDT Saturday /11:00 PM CDT Friday/ the stage was
    14.7 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage

  the vicinity of submerged Pottsville Road. Oil stripped fields
  flood. Flood gates must be installed at Hazleton.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...East Fork White River near Rivervale.

* WHEN...From this afternoon to late Tuesday evening.

* IMPACTS...At 20.5 feet, Lawrenceport Road just east of
  Lawrenceport and on the south side of river begins to flood around
  this level. During typical floods in this area this portion of the
  road can be flooded by 5 to more than 10 feet of water. During the
  January 2005 flood this area would have been near the "bottom" of
  the river, underwater by nearly 17 feet. In the Great March 1913
  flood, more than 25 feet of water would have covered this location.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 11:30 PM EDT Friday the stage was 18.4 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    late this afternoon to a crest of 21.0 feet early tomorrow
    afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage late Tuesday
    morning.

.KEY MESSAGES...

- Widespread dense fog will continue to impact parts of the area
  early this morning.

- A cold front is expected to bring scattered showers tonight and
possibly
  a rumble of thunder, mainly north of I-70. A cool down is
  expected behind this front for Sunday and Monday.

- Another cold front is expected to move through the region
  Tuesday night, but there is a lot of uncertainty with
  temperatures mid-late week behind this boundary.

central Illinois, southeast Illinois and west central Illinois.

Areas of dense fog between the Illinois River Valley and I-70 will
continue through mid morning.

Minor river flooding will persist along the parts of the Illinois and
Little Wabash Rivers.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.

Residual river flooding will continue along the Illinois and Little
Wabash Rivers through early next week.

Showers late Tuesday into Tuesday night may include isolated
thunder...although severe storms are not likely.
