...DENSE FOG ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 PM AKST THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Visibility one quarter mile or less in dense fog.

* WHERE...Anchorage, with the worst conditions in the Anchorage Bowl.

* WHEN...Until 4 PM AKST this afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Hazardous driving conditions due to low visibility and
  icy roads.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...While ice along main roads has largely
  improved, side and neighborhood roads remain icy and will combine
  with the fog and low visibilities to make travel difficult.
  Visibilities are expected to improve this afternoon, but some
  localized patchy fog will likely persist.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be reduced
to less than one quarter mile. If driving, slow down, use your
headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
