First Day of Atlantic Hurricane Season; Watching the Gulf of Mexico

Today marks the first day of the Atlantic hurricane season, which will run until November 30. Thunderstorm activity has increased associated with storm over the northeast Gulf of Mexico and a short-lived tropical depression or storm could form today or Friday.
