Virginia...

  Nottoway River At Rawlings affecting Brunswick and Dinwiddie
  Counties.

  Nottoway River Near Stony Creek affecting Sussex County.

...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Virginia...

  Meherrin River At Lawrenceville affecting Brunswick County.

For the Chowan Basin...including Rawlings, Stony Creek, Sebrell,
Lawrenceville, Emporia, Franklin...Minor flooding is forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

* IMPACTS...At 10.0 feet, River comes out of its banks in the
  vicinity of the gage.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 9:05 PM EDT Thursday the stage was 10.2 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 9.0 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 9:05 PM EDT Thursday was 12.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
    late this evening and continue falling to 3.9 feet Tuesday
    evening.
  - Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    10.2 feet on 02/07/2010.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Nottoway River near Stony Creek.

* WHEN...Until Saturday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 16.0 feet, Lowlands between the town of Stony Creek
  and VA Route 640, along both sides of VA Route 40, are flooded.
  Also, flood waters from the Nottoway River back up into Stony
  Creek and flood Main Street between Hailfax Road and Cedar Road.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:30 PM EDT Thursday the stage was 15.3 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 15.0 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 8:30 PM EDT Thursday was 15.3 feet.
  - Forecast...The river will rise to 16.2 feet tomorrow evening.
    It will then fall below flood stage late Saturday morning to
    7.8 feet early Sunday morning. It will rise to 9.8 feet
    Monday evening. It will then fall again and remain below
    flood stage.
  - Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    16.2 feet on 06/02/1971.
