NOAA’s National Weather Service participates in numerous education and outreach engagements including school visits, career fairs, and science fairs, reaching thousands of children each year. Education and outreach activities inspire the nation to use science towards increasing safety and resilience to weather hazards and preparing a future workforce to support the mission. It is a way to build and sustain relationships with the community and essential in reaching our goals, especially vulnerable and underserved communities.

For more information on education and outreach resources and efforts please visit the NWS Education website. This website contains a wealth of weather resources for educators, adults, and children of all ages. The NWS embraces diversity, equity, and inclusion as core values within our community and strive to implement these values in our education and outreach programs. As we seek to identify and overcome barriers to participation, it is critical for us to reach audiences and communities that are underserved and underrepresented in our programs.
