A Little Later...

10:00 a.m.

You've headed to work or started your day. You remember a few hours later that there was the possibility of a few thunderstorms in the day. You grab your phone, or check the web and see this graphic:

Increased thunderstorm risk for severe story/drill

What's Important?

First, the forecast has not changed. The same severe weather and thunderstorm risk continues.

Thunderstorms have begun developing over Mexico which the office believes will move east and possibly into deep South Texas.

It is important to remember however that in the right conditions very dangerous thunderstorms can develop from clear skies, or a few puffy cumulus clouds. Just because thunderstorms haven't developed yet, doesn't mean they can't or won't.

What do you do now?

Be sure to stay aware and alert. Check back before the storms are scheduled to arrive (between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m.)
