Scattered severe thunderstorms are possible across parts of the Ohio Valley and Mid-Atlantic this afternoon and evening. Strong to severe wind gusts capable of producing wind damage should be the primary hazard, but isolated hail may also occur. The National Tsunami Hazard Mitigation Program (NTHMP), a part of the National Weather Service's Tsunami Program, is a coordinated U.S. national effort to mitigate the impact of tsunamis through public education, community response planning, hazard assessment, and warning coordination.
