Tall enough to catch the fleeting rays of sunshine

As the sun went down on Wednesday evening, a lone cluster of thunderstorms developed over southeastern Davidson County, just southeast of Nashville.  The storms hung out over the Antioch area and poured rain for a couple hours and produced localized street flooding. The photo below was snapped by Sam Shamburger, showing the swelling thunderheads as they developed shortly before sunset. Some of the cloud towers reached heights that were able to catch the last fleeting rays of sunshine, just before the sun sank beneath the horizon. Great shot! Sam. Thanks for sending it along.
