Dangerous heat is expected through Memorial Day across Deep South Texas. Maximum heat index values up to 120 degrees are likely this weekend. Make sure you prepare for the heat, especially if you're planning on being outside for graduation ceremonies, traveling to the beach, and/or attending outdoor get togethers.

A strong mid level high pressure and enhanced southeasterly winds continue to result in dangerously hot temperatures over the weekend and into the beginning of next week with high temperatures soaring to near 100 to 110 degrees with heat indices of 115 to 120 degrees. Some relief is expected by midweek thanks to an advancing cold front.

An ehanced pressure gradient to maintain stronger winds on the Laguna and higher winds and seas over the Gulf coastal waters today. Use extreme caution if going boating today.
