.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight There is an enhanced risk of severe weather this afternoon and tonight west of a line from Forrest City, Arkansas to Martin, Tennessee. There is a slight risk of severe weather tonight west of a line from Clarksdale, Mississippi to Lexington, Tennessee. There remains a conditional threat for severe thunderstorms across areas along and west of the Mississippi River late this afternoon and evening. Storms that develop at this time and could quickly intensify to severe levels. Large hail, damaging winds, and tornadoes can be expected with any severe storms that develop. The potential for severe weather will increase later tonight as a cold front approaches the region. As thunderstorms develop ahead of the cold front, the main threat with these thunderstorms will be damaging winds and large hail but isolated tornadoes will be possible. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday There is an enhanced risk of severe weather Wednesday morning east of a line from Coffeeville, Mississippi to Savannah, Tennessee and a slight risk of severe weather for the remainder of the Mid-South east of the Mississippi River. More severe thunderstorms will be possible ahead of the cold front with damaging winds and large hail as the main threats. An isolated tornado can not be ruled out.
