.OVERVIEW...
As the remnants of Harvey moved across the Mid-South,
thunderstorms produced several tornadoes.

SURVEY SUMMARY:
This tornado developed in a wooded area south of
Houston-Palestine Road.  As the tornado crossed Houston-
Palestine, it damaged trees and two mobile homes. The
tornado damaged trees along Natchez Trace Parkway and
homes along Palestine Road. The most significant damage
occurred along Highway 370 where a double-wide mobile
home was carried 100 feet and a small commercial
building suffered roof damage. The tornado dissipated
north of Highway 370.

SURVEY SUMMARY:
This brief tornado developed in a wooded area south of
County Road 5131. It uprooted a few trees, damaged the
roof and carport of an uninhabited home, and damaged the
roof of a barn. The tornado dissipated just east of
County Road 5031.

SURVEY SUMMARY:
This brief tornado occurred just west of the intersection
of Highway 7 and Highway 72 in northwest Benton County. The
tornado uprooted a few trees and unroofed a metal barn.


EF Scale: The Enhanced Fujita Scale classifies tornadoes into the
following categories.

EF0...Weak......65 TO 85 mph
EF1...Weak......86 TO 110 mph
EF2...Strong....111 TO 135 mph
EF3...Strong....136 TO 165 mph
EF4...Violent...166 TO 200mph
EF5...Violent...>200mph

NOTE: in collaboration with emergency management, media, and
neighboring NWS offices, the NWS Office in Memphis has
identified these additional tornadoes:

- South of Helena, AR - EF rating to be determined
- Just north of Tupelo, MS - likely EF0
- Between Savannah and Crump, TN - likely EF0
- Near Olivehill, TN - likely EF1
