Severe Weather in the Plains; Heavy Rainfall in the Ohio and Tennessee Valleys; Heat Wave in the Central U.S.

Numerous severe storms with a potential for severe wind gusts, tornadoes (some potentially strong), and very large hail are expected in parts of the central and northern Plains. 2016 Year in Review

Sunshine in 2016

December was kind of a mixed bag: two weeks cold & snowy, sometimes mild & rainy, but rarely sunny. Grand Rapids had 9% of possible sunshine. The lowest December amount recorded was 7% and the average is 20%. Relative to normal, it was our coolest month since April.
