Severe Thunderstorms with Swath of Damaging Winds, Large Hail and Tornadoes Expected in the South

Multiple episodes of severe thunderstorms are expected today from parts of eastern Oklahoma and north-central Texas, across the Mid-South and Mississippi Delta regions, to parts of Alabama and Georgia. This includes a threat for a swath of damaging wind with gusts in excess of 75 mph from Arkansas across the lower Mississippi Valley. Large, damaging hail and tornadoes also are possible.
