Flooding Possible in Southeast Texas; Widespread Critical Fire Weather Threats

Severe thunderstorms and heavy rains will bring a threat of flash flooding, damaging winds, and tornadoes across southeast Texas into southwest Louisiana. Several areas may experience dry, gusty winds today resulting in high fire danger conditions: the Southwest, Northern and Central Plains, Upper Midwest, and the Carolinas.
