Catastrophic Category 5 Hurricane Dorian Stalling Over Grand Bahama Island; Hurricane and Storm Surge Warnings Issued for Portion of East Florida

Dorian has nearly stalled from its slight westward motion across the northwestern Bahamas today. A gradual turn to the northwest and eventually north is forecast through Wednesday. Given the track uncertainty and increasing size of the hurricane, a Hurricane Warning and Storm Surge Warning remain in effect for a portion of the east Florida coast.
