Dangerous Heat, Severe Thunderstorms and Heavy Rainfall, Increasing Threat of Rip Currents

Dangerous heat prevails across areas of the Southern Plains and the Southwest through at least today. A cold front will focus showers and thunderstorms, some severe with heavy rainfall, along the eastern seaboard into the Lower Mississippi Valley.
