Heat Lingers Out West; Several Areas of Storms and Heavy Rain

The excessive heat wave in parts of the West continues to linger with potentially a few record high temperatures today in portions of California and Nevada. Several pockets of thunderstorms and heavy rain are possible today in the U.S., including the Interior Northeast, northern Plains, Southwest and south Florida.
