Winter Storm to Impact the Midwest and Great Lakes into Friday; Frigid Temperatures for the Northern Rockies and Northwest

A winter storm will emerge into the Plains Thursday, producing heavy snow, strong winds, and frigid temperatures from the Central Plains to the Great Lakes into Friday. A very cold airmass will move into the Rockies and Northwest. Temperatures are forecast to be 20 to more than 40 degrees below normal from the Northwest into the Plains by Friday.
